Bazarty is a grassroots initiative founded by Omalia Villalona that reflects the heart of AM Academy’s mission—empowerment, access, and connection.
What began as a personal solution to a financial crisis quickly grew into a community-driven event where emerging entrepreneurs could sell products, network, and build visibility. Omalia gathered a group of women to sell clothing, accessories, and handmade items—and from there, Bazarty was born.
Today, Bazarty is a bilingual pop-up fair designed to give Latino and first-generation entrepreneurs a platform to grow their businesses and connect with the community. It creates real opportunities for economic growth and business education—especially for those who are often overlooked by traditional systems.
Bazarty is more than just a market—it’s a movement that brings together small businesses, culture, and community impact. It continues to evolve as a program that nurtures leadership, supports underrepresented talent, and helps the next generation of entrepreneurs thrive.
To date, we’ve successfully hosted five Bazarty events, each with a unique theme and growing attendance:
“Denim” – 25 entrepreneurs
“Feminine Vibes” – 25 entrepreneurs
“Tulum” – 25 entrepreneurs
“Indy 500” – 32 entrepreneurs
35 entrepreneurs and over 400 attendees
